The Undercoft stylish and elegant private studio at The Old Church House central Frome

Lovely quaint accomodation, great location within Frome.

Literally the only thing i would change here was the fridge!! Maybe think about putting a full size fridge in the cupboard space under the kitchenette. We had 2day tickets for longleat and would have liked to have taken picnics and a full size fridge would have enabled us to freeze ice packs in the ice compartments and store food. Unfortunately we couldnt do that with counter top fridge. This is not a critisism, just something maybe to considet. Our stay was great as was the accomodation ☺️

Great location close to shops, bars and multiple restaurants. Comfortable bed, good shower, plenty of storage. 10 minute walk to the train station.

There wasn't any milk provided for the tea and coffee and given the amount of space, access to an iron and ironing board would have been preferable.

Location is absolutely excellent. It is so peaceful and wonderful to be able to walk straight out to explore the centre of Frome, beautiful streets, the bookshops, shops and cafes. The property has what it states on the advert in terms of facilities, The Wifi is great and a comfy bed. When I did reach out the owner they responded really quickly. Would recommend as a bolthole or stop over location if you aren't planning to spend much time there.

Sadly, it really wasn't the 'luxury' stay that is promoted. I needed a stay to get away from noisy and dirty building work at home and found the place quite grubby, and there was an appalling smell on arrival -like someone had tried to spray tons of air freshener or cleaner to mask how musty it is in there. It was overwhelming (as you can't air the property without opening the door) and I finally found their cleaning tray under the sink (from where all the smell was coming from) and had to put that in a separate cupboard and put the cloth outside, as it was nauseating. I've no doubt the owners would have done something, but it is incredibly uncomfortable to ask someone that lives upstairs to fully clean the property properly while you are already there. Dust, cobwebs, bad smells, thick grime on handwash, no smoke alarm, filthy sponge etc. It appeared as is if they were happy the previous person has cleaned and then just done general wipe and spray. I paid more for 'luxury' because I didn't want to think about cleaning and just fully relax, but on my first night I felt quite glum about my booking as noisy TV for hours (which I appreciate they resolved for rest of stay) and I knew I'd have to clean a bit and get sponges etc. The kitchen sink is tiny and no hot water, so you need to wash up plates in the bathroom, After I realised what the reality was, I did have a good stay. I aired the place out loads by opening the door (I had the air filter on at 3 for the full stay) and made the best of it and slept well. It was more that I really thought I could relax into 'luxury' and switch off. Had the advert been more honest, I probably wouldn't have been so disappointed. For the price it really needs a deep clean. I've subsequently seen these kind of issues have been brough up in comments over several years and never been resolved.

This is a property that is very well located in Frome near almost everything. Frome itself is well placed for touring Somerset. There a good restaurants in Frome and the hosts kindly gave guidance which was valuable and appreciated. WifI was good. The property is really well presented and designed.

Previous reviews talk about an underlying odour of drains (sometimes wet dog) and I would agree with this - it's not great and at times unpleasant. There was a blanket / throw left for our use but this smelt damp (wet dog) and not helped by a dog bowl ramdomly left in the property. In fairness we are not dog fans so this could just be us but the odours needs addressing.
