Mary's Stay Petworth

Had to call to get directions to get in.

The room was dirty, there were homeless people in front of the door, there was constant yelling in the hallways, and there was no blanket on the bed.

Enough space and a clean flat. It's a little noisy. Supermarkets, a bus station, and a metro station are nearby. Good communication to the hosts.

Wonderful stay, very clean and tidy, fully equipped kitchen, 10 min walk to metro and 5 min to supermarket in same direction, will be looking to stay there again in the future

I truly struggle finding anything I consider a ‘like’ about this place! The only positives I can speak on was my cats being welcomed to stay with us and the cleaning/maintenance staff were very hard working, decent people!

I hated just about everything about my stay here(though I do consider hate to be a strong word, it genuinely fits when referring to this place)! Walking into the unit I was welcomed by a host of flying pests(flies/mosquitoes/etc) and the strongest smoke smell that felt like multiple cigarettes could have still been lit inside…the smell was unbearable! Coughing my way through to the side balcony door to attempt to let fresh air in only affirmed how the flying friends got there….two side balcony doors and not one screen in sight! I immediately attempted to run the AC and realized the entire air filtration system itself was producing the smoke smell all through the unit(for all 30 days of my stay)! What made it all so much more overwhelming was that this was my 3rd unit with this company in a span of 3 months(the first unit at their 12th St NE location had a leaking AC unit in the bathroom that leaked the entire 30 days leading to us having to demand to be moved since their no refund policy meant that the 2 month stay we initially booked could not be cancelled leaving us no other choice….and the constant rats right outside the patio door was also an added motivation to leave)! Moving from one building to a different building only got worse, unfortunately! This Georgia Ave location had zero WiFi within the unit my entire stay! I tried utilizing the laundry wasting money on a dryer that seemed to never dry needing to keep adding more quarters! The roaches for me was just down right unsanitary! We ended up clearing out a day sooner than our intended check out because we just were so over the whole ordeal! I’m so thankful we made that decision, since we woke that morning ready to pack only to find the power out in the unit! An overall nightmare of an experience, both in this unit and in dealing with Mary Stays overall! If I reached out with a complaint I was given fake sympathy and false attempts at fixing these problems!

Nearness to bus stop and metro being 12 minute away

Wi-fi failed mid way my work. Had to contact host who, fortunately, was able to sort it albeit after a while ,

Loved everything about it I will be booking again
