The Downe Arms Inn

A really well owner managed business Johnathon the owner , and Carlos made us feel very welcome nothing was too much trouble. Very good chef and the food was excellent. It has a lovely atmosphere and the very quaint bar is very well supported by locals and guests, it was great value and we are delighted that we found this gem . We were attending a wedding in Danby Castle and this was an ideal location only 10 mins up the road, hopefully we'll get back again soon . Andy & Nora Dublin Ireland

Fantastic location in the North York Moors with really welcoming staff who were both friendly and efficient. Room was lovely and bright with needed for a comfortable stay. We didn't have breakfast but did have an evening meal in the pub restaurant and it was very tasty.

A lovely inn in the North York Moors with great access to walking routes.

Jonathan and the Team are 1st class! Lovely welcome. Room spacious, clean with everything you need. We booked for food with family, excellent choice and tasty too (all credit to the chef), we all enjoyed our meal and the staff could not be more attentive. Carlos, loved your sense humour! Overall, a lovely stay and will be returning, with our dog too!

Very welcoming. Staff are amazing, food amazing, good choice of ales, all the locals made us feel so welcome.

There was nothing to not like

In heart of NY Moors. Very comfortable room and facilities on tap. Pub very nice and friendly locals. Food out of this world. Fantastic chef. Very good value for money. Owners could not do enough for you.

The Pub is closed by on Mondays and Tuesdays so very much left on own but we prefer this so suited us.

Staff were welcoming and helpful, also great with communication before arrival. Breakfast was really good.
