Lovely in, great friendly pub downstairs staff were amazing and the rooms are lovely

Food was good.

Friendly welcome, exceptional food, lovely old pub with exposed stone interior walls, locals drink here and made us feel very welcome. Staff were very attentive and "on the ball" in every respect.

There was nothing whatsoever we didn't like.

Ghastly. No staff at all in the hotel. Bar closed. Dining room closed. Slept in an empty hotel.

Beautiful backyard scenery, nice little countryside town of Castleton. A co op across the road. I liked that it was self check in but would have liked to have known that beforehand because I was rushing to get there for before 9pm but probably could have got there much after, unless they lock the back door, I’m not sure. I think they do offer breakfast in the morning like toast or cereal but we didn’t stay for it so I can’t review it.

It’s no longer a pub so you can’t just grab a drink before you check in or anything. I’m not sure if they’re changing owners or if they’ll ever be a pub again but yeah.

Nicola staff member was lovely and accommodating under the circumstances.

We booked it location and facilities food etc . Wedding party guests To be told ten minutes upon arrival. Pub would not be opening was a shock to be honest . Not what we booked !

Great location in the Yorkshire Moors, very friendly helpful staff , great food and beer and large portions, glad I got the half Chicken Parmos, was absolutely stuffed after we had the beautiful home made fudge cake , we will definitely stay here again. Breakfast was also delicious and very good size 👍👍👍

Awesome experience there and we should have spent two nights. Staff was super friendly and all the regulars were happy to see us and treat us like we live there.

Not much to dislike. Room was somewhat small but we expected that. A sheep did wake us at 4:00am outside our window but that was fun.
