The Old Custom House

Nice rental over a lovely restaurant right on Poole Quay. It is literally located right in the heart of Poole, which was a wonderful little town. Easy walking distance to multiple good restaurants and historic pubs, as well as multiple ferry services. We were able to easily walk to and from the train station. There was a well-stocked breakfast area with free fruit, yoghurt, water, and coffee 24 hours a day. The manager (owner?) was very kind and knowledgeable.

This property is right on the Poole Quay, which is the main waterfront area, so street noise could be a problem, particularly when a nearby restaurant had late-night karaoke (we couldn't hear the music, just the noisy patrons spilling out onto the street below us). It is also across from a working commercial dock, so earplugs are recommended for light sleepers. Note that this property is not suitable to those with mobility issues.

Should have realised being an "old customs house" there would likely be no lift and lots of stairs! Just be aware if you are not too good on your pins and have luggage.

Location, gorgeous building, comfortable and good sized room, availability of snacks yea and coffee, wonderful staff.

Excellent location on the Quay. Close to most everything. Marcus is a very friendly & very helpful host. Very quiet at night.

Really well situated, very comfortable and spacious with views over the harbour. Excellent bistro downstairs.

Perfect location, easy access and spotlessly clean with brilliant complimentary breakfast facilities.
