First and Last Youth Hostel

Rien du tout, dommage que la note 0 n'existe pas... Logement vide à notre arrivée, J'hésite entre un squatte pour les sans abris ou un logement insalubre... Ou même les deux. Forte odeur d'urine à notre arrivée. Bar non fonctionnel depuis bien longtemps je pense. Pas de chauffage dans le "logement". Les draps étaient déjà usagés de plusieurs passages avant nous je pense. Nous sommes restés 5 minutes dans le logement et c'était déjà beaucoup trop. J'étais avec ma fille de 10ans et ma soeur enceinte, nous avons dû quitter l'habitation pour trouver un vrai hôtel digne de se nom. J'ai demandé le remboursement intégral. Ce genre de logement ne devrait plus faire partie d'une location et encore moins sur des plateformes comme celle de booking.

Friendly and welcoming place with a great atmosphere. Good location for visiting Dover Castle and exploring the area. It felt like a comfortable base for my trip and offered very good value for money. I really appreciated the hospitality.

The stay was good overall. If I had to mention anything, the rooms are a bit basic and it can get slightly noisy at times, but nothing that really affected my stay.

Perfect location for the ferry port and amazing to be actually waking up at the foot of the famous white cliffs

Les lieux n'étaient pas propres

The place was shabby and unlike the photos. The beds looked awful, the showers appeared to be unusable and even the toilet on our floor would not flush. Upon arrival, we were dismayed by the state of the place and spent half an hour there booking somewhere else to stay the night.

Very flexible and helpful owner, who provided us with interesting information about the hostel and the castle. Easy check in. Quiet Easy to park in the street and to reach the ferry pier on the next morning. Access to the pool table. Access to fridge and breakfast essentials Allowing dogs

Old buildings that is in need of renovation (the owners are working on it but there seem to be a lot to do) Cleaningness, especially in the kitchen

The breakfast was non exsistant although it stated breakfast was included there was a stale box of cereal in the disgusting kitchen

I had traveled down to Dover from Birmingham to visit some friends via coach and train I arrived a day late and was greeted by a male who I believed was the owner I was shown my room and was left with out a kye no heating no internet no tv the kitchen was damp and the floors were wet I stayed there and he 2 nights as I was unable to get into the property on the other days I was ment to be staying there I have tried to contact the first and last manger multiple time left messeges and have been down to the hostel to collect my things and have been unable to do so I have made so many calls till this day to get my property back and have had no contact whatso ever with the manger I had travel arrangements to go back to Birmingham on wensday and have had to leave all my property behind including important documents and passports

Hard to say any. Maybe we can get in later night too.

breakfast are very poor, It creaks loudly with every slight movement, matresses very uncomfortables The next door was somebody with dog which whole night was barked. The toilets not really clean and also just builded from OSB panel. Very hard to parking in this area. on the corridor was covered with blood. One of us was choosen go outside and sleep in the car
