"Lovely Christmas break close to Lancaster"

Stunning building full of character. Great breakfast. Nice bar that makes the most of this lovely old hall. Staff were friendly and attentive. For parking at the hotel you drive past the front down a small road that takes you to the rear of the hotel. Reception is at the bar. It is a nice one hour walk to Lancaster or a short car journey away.

"Stunning find."

What a beautiful location. The hall was truly beautiful and rooms were spacious with lovely high ceilings.

The restaurant was closed the evening we arrived which was unfortunate. Had we known, we would have eaten in town before we arrived.

"Interesting but needs some more TLC."

Interesting and totally different - a castle and a golf club - complimented each other. Staff were very helpful and good breakfast.

Bedroom needs updating and in style of castle- very poor bathroom - too small.
