The Chocolate Factory House, Kandy- exclusive private apartment

Lovely view with modern architecture

The Chocolate Factory House was the best place we stayed during our 6 week Sri Lanka trip! It feels like a home away from home. It is very comfortable. As soon as you enter the house it feels very calm and serene. It is spacious and all the amenities you would like to use are there. The house is very clean, the beds are super comfortable, the view from the balcony is superb! It is the first house we encountered in Sri Lanka with an eco friendly focus and care for the environment. The host Sami is great! He made us delicious breakfasts and helped us to make our Kandy experience great. He helped us to shape a good itinerary for things to visit. He was always available and took very good care of us. He even drove us to our next destination. We highly recommend staying here!

Everything was amazing!

Amazing host and super clean

Everything was great. The apartment was super clean and looked better than the pictures. Kitchen was well-stocked. Breakfast was great.

Nothing worth mentioning.

The apartment is far from the city hustle and has an amazing view. It is spacious and has all the needed amenities. The wifi worked great and Aline was very helpful, she provided multiple itinerary options and restaurants for take-out!

Generally, the apartment is relatively clean. However, we would have personally preferred cleaner corners and bathrooms.

Beautiful mountain view from large balcony. Modern apartments with everything you need. Good coffee with dripper, large water dispenser, fridge, shampoo and bday soap, two shower rooms, washing machine and laundry powder, on top of all that the breakfast was so nice and the hosts were very nice and helpful. Thank you Sami and Aline for making our stay in Kandy so special.

In the second shower room, tab was too high to use. Slightly inaccessible location.

Sami and Ailine were exceptional hosts for our time in Kandy! The newly renovated space is extremely clean and comfortable, and the balcony view is unreal. Sami was constantly arranging the best drivers, recommending great local restaurants and attractions, and all in all going out of his way to ensure we had a great stay! The optional breakfast offers a variety of delicious authentic Sri Lankan food - we opted for it each morning of our stay. Only a short tuk tuk from the bustling centre of Kandy, the Chocolate Factory House is extremely peaceful and quiet. Sami is always around to help out with any questions and made us feel at home. Highly recommend to anyone travelling to Kandy.

Sami and Aline are exceptional hosts, consistently ensuring we had everything we needed. Sami went above and beyond by driving us to the hospital and facilitating a visit to the doctor. His wealth of knowledge about local attractions enhanced our experience; be sure to tap into his recommendations. The availability of a car and scooter further added to the convenience. The apartment itself is wonderfully comfortable, but what truly captivated us was the ever-changing landscape. Our favorite pastime was spent on the terrace, soaking in the breathtaking views and observing the local wildlife. While the kitchen met our needs adequately, we particularly enjoyed indulging in plenty of brewed coffee. The inclusion of a spacious and cozy bed, reliable WiFi, unlimited hot water for showers, and provided drinking water made this place an ideal retreat for us. Without hesitation, we would gladly book again if our travels bring us back to the hill country.
