The Lobster Pot Cottage Church Bay

Stunning location, very cosy cottage.

Location was great. Other reviews have stated water issues but we had no issues with water what so ever. Staff ( I think Erin) was fantastic! Got my text around 2:30 with the PIN code and check in was tip top! Everything worked as should.

Property was quite dirty. We had to clean all surfaces and floors when we got there. Hoover smelt foul (do not use) Sofa was really dirty. It just needs abit of a clean up with spare bedding shoved in cupboards and little things like that.

Close proximity to beach. Location lovely. Great cliff walks. Ceri was very friendly and helpfull.

The few steps leading up to the flat were quite challenging for those who are disabled.

Nice little place, very close to the beach and costal walks if that's what you want. 2 bedrooms ( very small though) and a decent kitchen and sitting room. Only a cafe and the lobster pot restaurant close by for convenience though, so if you want more this may not be for you.

As mentioned the bedrooms are very small due to it being an old cottage but the main issue was no hanging space/ hooks in either. A few hooks to hang up clothes at night would make a big difference in what is already a small room. ( There is hanging space before the bathroom, but you have to go out after getting changed to use it). There's also low beams everywhere, 6ft+ be aware. There was also only a tiny frying pan to do a breakfast. Barely fitting in 8 thin sausages. A couple more of various size would help.

the location is superb so close to the sea, you can smell it when you open the windows.

The cottage was not very clean , and there didnt appear to be any baking trays to cook food on in the oven. A small carton of milk would have been nice on arrival , given the distance to the nearest shop.

Absolutely amazing location, close to places we wanted to visit. Beautiful view through the window. Good size apartment, had tv and free wifi, and some other basics.

Check in was from 3pm. We arrived at 3pm, received ceckin details only couple minutes to 4pm. We needed code to get into property. Thankfully restaurant staff member let us in, as noone answered when i rang number provided on the booking. Doors were not closing, including outer door, had to use bucket with stones in to stop it opening, but with high wind it was still banging. One of windows not closing, broken. I was hoping for at least couple sachets of coffee and milk, but there were none. Normally all places provides this, so I was suprised it didn't have those, especially with all shops miles away from this location. Place wasn't cleaned well. Dirty blankets, dirty sponge (actually black stains on it), wet cloth, dirty toaster, dirty sugar pot, dirty matress cover. Plates were put away, but full of water, so had to wash them before use, as every single one had water in it. No where to hang towels to dry them once you had a shower. No hangers in bedrooms, just beds. Ceiling is very low ( I know this cannot be changed, but mentioning in case it would afect your stay). I am only 1.64cm, but when in shower i was nearly touching the ceiling, taller person would struggle to take a shower.

Very dog friendly. Well equipped kitchen. Location is excellent, well kept gardens, lovely local beach and easily accessible cliff top walks.

No shop available close by. Local cafe is lovely but has limited opening days and is only open in the afternoons. Hot water was too hot and difficult to regulate in the shower.

Location amazing , lovely comfortable bed, great value for money

The settees were abit old , were covered up by covers but we did not use them much as we were out most of the time.
