Location for walking the coastal path amazing. Hosts where very kind and let us drop overnight things so we didn't have to carry them on our walk.

We visited in February and it had oil filled heaters no central heating. It took a while to get warm but it was cosy in the end. This will not be a problem in the summer months.

"No hot water or heating but you can at least cook a hot meal."

4.0

It was in a great location for the coastal path. We were able to cook as the cooker, microwave and kettle worked well.

No working hot water, although shower was electric and worked well. We messaged the owner who responded promptly that it was too late to do anything about it, although reading other reviews it appears this is a long standing issue. There is no central heating and the three tiny radiators were not on when we arrived (it was 4 degrees outside and not much more inside) and did little to bring the room up to a comfortable temperature. Fire didn’t work. We were freezing. No towels or tea towels. No blind or frosted glass in the bathroom window! We also received a message apology for not having time to iron the sheets! That was the least of our concerns.

"Unfortunately Very Disappointing"

6.0

It's been a week since my 1 night stay, I've purposefully left it until now to provide a review so I could formulate my words in an informative way. I'll start with some positives,...Communication with the property was fairly good, on the morning of my stay I received a message via txt to ask if I was still arriving and then the check in information via booking.com which I actually didnt see until after I'd arrived and hunted someone down. I was told then that the check in details would have been sent through the website. I was expecting the rest of our communication to be through txt also seeing as that's how it started. The message also aplogised for wrinkled bed sheets, the sheets were not an issue, I never noticed, what I did notice was the lovely clean scent of a freshly mopped floor, it's a real shame that that level of cleanliness did not extend to the rest of the property which was smaller than it looked on the website, had low ceilings and was very tired. Some serious improvements need to be made. The location of the apartment is excellent being so close to a lovely beach and with other costal walks available. I ate at the lobster pot restaurant and enjoyed my burger. The bed linen was clean and smelled fresh, I did sleep quite well. Unfortunately that's about as positive as it gets....

The apartment has no permanent heating source, just 3 small oil fiiled radiators and some throws, it was cold. There was also no hot water. I saw a review from a month ago that said the same, fortunately the shower heated the water so I used the shower to wash. Tea towels and bath towels are not provided, I had my own so that was ok. You should also take your own toilet roll if theres more than 1 of you as only 1/2 a roll was left. The apartment was dirty, the 1st impression of the porch was unfortunately a good indication of what was to come, the tile backsplash and cooker top didnt look like they had been wiped, there were dead flies on the floors, clumps of dust on the carpet, spilt liquids down the cupboards, inside the cupboards and cutlery drawer were grubby and some of the crockery dirty. As was the microwave. The bed cushions were stained. The furnishings were old and very shabby, lots of mildew, doors and frames that don't reach the floor, doors that dont actually close due to warping, window latches broken, a hole in the bathroom wall stuffed with toilet roll, missing tiles in the bathroom, very creeky floors, ripped chairs, flakey blinds, a broken bath panel, dirty mirrors, rusty fridge and a freezer that desperately needed defosting as the drawers couldnt open. The bedside cabinet hadn't been dusted, and there was hair on the lamp base. I've stayed in many places and I'm very sorry to say this is the 2nd worst. It really is a shame as it has great potential. It just needs some love and a lot of it. I would urge you to give it a chance, though, if you're only after a cheap dog friendly stay in a great location and tasty food on site if you will only use the apartment for tv viewing and sleeping. Only streaming services available, no terrestrial channels. Maybe if they make more money, they will be able to improve on all the things that need rectifying.

"Beautiful area great flat"

8.0

The location is beautiful and the flat is so close to the beach. I imagine this will be a fantastic 'bolt hole' in season. Just a little chilly off season.

There is no heating in the flat, only three plug in oil filled radiators. We stayed on new years eve during the storm, and these heaters struggled to keep the flat warm. If the built in electric fire worked, at least the lounge would be cosy. The TV only works on streaming, so BBC, ITV, CH4 & CH5 can be accessed. Other channels such as U etc, need passwords which are not provided in the information booklet. In addition, there was no hot water in the flat however, I noticed there was no hot water in the restaurant either, so I suspect there was a more widespread issue.

"Didn’t go as planned"

6.0

The property was in good order and clean. It is in a lovely position with wonderful sea views from most of the windows.

Unfortunately we had a few problems. The fire in the lounge wasn’t working, we had no hot water and we were short of saucepans. Bless her the owner did her best to help us, she tried to get an electrician out, but couldn’t get anyone. We managed with some oil filled radiators, which was ok. She bought us some extra saucepans over and we managed by boiling kettles for hot water. We ended up leaving early as Storm Darragh was due. We did get a nights refund. I really felt for the owner as she did try. It’s a shame because it’s a nice little cottage.

Location. Beds were comfy

Flat felt vèy damp and musty. Hadn't been cleaned very well. A lot of dead flys in the bathroom. Small plug in heaters to try and get the flat warm. Front door really difficult to open kept sticking.

"Excellent location and very quiet."

Great location for the coastal path and walking. The accommodation was well equipped and comfortable.

It was initially a little cold but warmed up with the portable radiators.
