Puerto Morelos Hotel Las Palmas - Near the beach

Absolutely gorgeous roof top and pool. The building is gorgeous, plants hanging everywhere and beautiful lights. The bed is so comfortable and the water is very hot!!!

The location is excellent in order to discover the Colonia area of puerto Morelos. It’s near restaurants, shopping and a lovely and lively park. Lots of very good restaurants. Great place to practice Spanish.

Our room was a balcony room so the street noise is very loud as well as the noise coming from the hallway from other guests. The cute parrot is also quite noisy. If this hotel was better insulated, it wouldn’t be so noisy. Ear plugs are a must. Our friends had an interior room that only had a window onto the hallway. Theirs was much quieter than ours, because there was no outside window.

The location is fine as long as you are willing to cycle into Puerto Morelos, this is very much 'Downtown' but with the use of the free bikes, a gentle 20 minute cycle gets you into Puerto Morelos and the beach. The hotel allows you to use the bikes free of charge which is great. Overall, if you didn't have the issue of the noise in the rooms, the hotel is fine, clean, tidy and the staff are friendly and the use of the bikes for free is very good. But if you cannot sleep, then you get very grumpy and that's not what you want on Holiday!!

The hotel is so unbelievably noisy. The first night there was extremely loud music on until 4am and we barely got any sleep that night. We contacted the hotel and asked to move rooms but then didn't hear anything back for 24 hours. The whole design of the hotel makes it extremely noisy, as the corridor is all in the open you can hear everything from the surrounding areas, loud traffic, people, dogs, music etc. It was really really difficult to sleep here. Overall, if you didn't have the issue of the noise in the rooms, the hotel is fine, clean, tidy and the staff are friendly and the use of the bikes for free is very good. But if you cannot sleep, then you get very grumpy and that's not what you want on Holiday!!

We loved the attentiveness of the staff, especially Anna, who was very helpful and endeared herself to us. We liked the fact that you can use their well-maintained bikes for free. The extra touch of free water and coke was welcoming on a hot day. We really loved their rooftop!

Room good size and clean with aircon.

Hard bed. Unacceptable noise from other guests, staff playing loud music at all times of day and though nice to see parrot once it was awake impossible to sleep or relax. From our bedroom which was next to side street road noise was very loud. Nowhere to dry beach towels and clothing. Packs of barking dogs every night and intolerable loud music from around hotel at all times of night which we realise the owners can't do anything about. The hotel has great potential but we weren't able to relax or sleep which is an important aspect of a holiday.
