Crossways Cottage Quirky 2 bedroom cottage in Damdale, Central Peebles

Location to town centre.

Very close to the centre of Peebles. Cottage was clean and comfortable and nice and warm. Central heating easy to control. Cosy place to stay. Plenty of parking nearby.

Double bedroom only had one bedside table and no other horizontal space for toiletries etc.

It was a nice clean cottage well equipped and decorated. Close to the High Street of Peebles.

The main bed was extremely low, which was problematic for my husband. The single bed mattress was rather hard, and a larger duvet was needed (for an adult). The sofa was uncomfortable as the seating was hard.

Very quiet area but also within very easy walking distance of a small thriving town. Wifi, good shower, comfortable bed and well catered for

Character

Great location, cottage is bigger than it looks in the photos, cosy and warm, everything we needed.

The communication was great in advance and the keys were easy to get using the code given. I had an issue after the stay and that was dealt with very well. It's a nice but property that has everything you need and a great location for exploring the local area. I liked the house manual too, it was written with a good sense of humour.

Overall the property was good but several lights were out in the property and a few things had fallen off the wall like the coat rack, the toilet roll holder and the fire surround was really loose. There are some basic maintenance issues that should be addressed. I wouldn't normally mention this but the sofa was the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I've ever sat on. I think there was a board under it and definitely not a place you could have a cozy night in to watch telly.
