Crossways Cottage Quirky 2 bedroom cottage in Damdale, Central Peebles

Location. Small but well equipped . Clean and well maintained.

Good location, comfortable and well equipped

Location was perfect as was the layout. It is a nice cottage. One really good sized bedroom and one small bedroom more like a boxroom. Large living room and fine sized kitchen and bathroom. Only two of us stayed here and wanted two separate bedrooms so cottage suited us. Private entrance was a bonus and it was great that we could control the heating. A stone's throw to main street which is full of fab independent shops and there was a nice buzz about the town.

No real dislikes but this place could be so much better with a little tlc. Felt it was quite tired in places. Shower dated and slow. Had difficulty regulating it too. Behind toilet is unsightly. In kitchen there was plenty teabags and sugar but no coffee (I don't drink tea) and a little milk. Was looking forward to a cup on arrival so was disappointed. Also, kitchen roll would be handy as would a tea towel. Sofa/bed settee in living room was very hard thank goodness I wasn't sleeping on it.

The location was superb. I would certainly recommend if staying in the area.

Ideal location to Peebles and the wedding venue we were attending.
