The common area closed early, so we had no place to relax after hiking all day.

Superb location, good parking, and comfortable beds. It really is a very authentic location that fits well in the context

I guess if you are offered a room upstairs it is quite complicated up the stairs with the luggage

The teenage staff did their best to make up for a rundown, undersupplied business.

My experience was so bad, it just became comical. The heater in the room was broken, and no space heater was available. With visible holes in the log walls and temperatures in the low 40s, it was a very cold night. The teenage staff were sweet and did find me some blankets, but there wasn't much else they could do. The bedding was covered with crumbs. The bedside lamp wasn't plugged in because there were no outlets anywhere near the table. Dirty windows and paper thin walls. No in-room coffee or tea for the morning. Access to the downstairs lobby and any hope of coffee was blocked off by a chain and stern warnings about an alarm going off if entry was attempted. This was still in place at eight in the morning with no one in sight. The room was just threadbare, run-down, and uncomfortable. I couldn't wait to leave and wish I had slept in my car.

Gorgeous wood-framed rustic lodge with a serene feel and amazing panoramas of the nearby mountains. It was lovely to sit out on the second-story porch in rockers and inhale clean mountain air. The convenience store is also very well stocked. Rooms are basic but clean.

Mattresses could have been firmer for the price, and it would have been nice to have evening access to the amazing sitting room area with books, puzzles, and couches.

The location itself is great, a house in the forest close to nature. Close to Rocky Mountain National Park, about a 30-40 minute drive. Possibility to park right next to the house.

Our house was very old, gas heating, not very safe in my opinion. The door couldn't be closed from the outside, it's hard to call it a door, but that's ok. The walls are thin, you can hear every rustle from the outside. The gas stove itself hasn't been cleaned for a long time. There was no internet in the cottage.
