Hotel The Palm

From the moment we arrived up until we left, the treatment we’ve received has been unacceptable. We arrived and the room was filled with the smell of humidity. There was big mold spots on the ceiling. We reported it to the desk but only got a « sorry » with no solution. We tried to speak to the manager but he apparently was never here. When at the pool, for the most basic need of a towel, staff told us they were « out of towels ». We complained and nothing was made to make our stay better. I strongly recommend to avoid this hotel.

Ti davano solo un asciugamano grande e uno piccolo per le mani, 1 per 2 persone, ho chiesto più volte ma senza esito, la camera non veniva pulita bene, non spazzavano a terra, mi sono lamentata più volte x la pulizia. Noi avevamo il loft con 4 persone, ho pagato per 4 ma il servizio era per 2, le mie figlie li hanno fatte dormire sul divano e chiedevo di mettere le lenzuola, invece ne mettevano 1 solo, e’ stato difficile. La colazione pessima, abbiamo integrato la colazione per la nostra permanenza e poi si è rivelata una truffa, il cappuccino o caffè dovevi pagare a parte, il cornetto a parte. Quindi non inserire colazione perché vi fanno pagare e poi non vi danno nulla solo pancake.

The bartender upstairs was super nice and so was the waitress. I would never stay here again.

What I expected to pay was the price booking.com charged me and then the hotel charged me the same amount in taxes. Total rip off, the hotel smells like sewage and its, AT BEST, a motel with a rooftop pool. There are zero places to lounge on pool deck; 2 loungers maybe. I guess this place does the job if you don't want to stay in a Hostel and you have 8 people in one room which is what it looked like it was set up for. The pictures of the rooftop are super deceiving. You can stay at the Fives down the street for less and the hotel is 10x's better quality.

The location

Old facility. AC made a lot of notice. The leanings were stained. The room smelled humid. The hotel policies were insane. One key per room.

La camera è grande, pulita, presenta angolo cucina (senza piano cottura),docce a vista e balcone con amaca. Personale gentile.

Le docce ed il bagno a vista sono belli da vedere ma poco pratici se si viaggia con amici. In albergo non è disponibile dispenser di acqua che va acquistata all'esterno... Da una struttura del genere ci si aspetta almeno acqua gratis.

Quarto espaçoso, óptima localização perto da 5a Av mas numa rua tranquila e funcionários simpáticos (em especial a Anto ao pequeno almoço).

O quarto tinha apenas uma janela que dava para um corredor interno: quase sem luz natural e sem privacidade. A insonorização do quarto era muito fraca.
