Poggio Angelarosa: Lemon Garden Stay&Relax

We stayed at this gem for 4 nights and had the best time! It is an actual lemon garden with mind blowing views over the Amalfi coast and the terrace is in a very good condition, you can tell the owners are passionate about what they do. This place blew our expectations and it's beauty is surreal. If you travel by car, reach out in advance for private parking (20€ a day) since parking is very stressful in the whole area. Our room was charming and unique, but don't plan on cooking, since the equipment is only the basics. We needed 24 walking minutes to the Amalfi city center and 28 minutes back, but the stairs are steep and not for the weak (there is public transportation we didn't need). The town itself is called Pontone and offers 2 really good affordable Restaurants with stunning views and a cute bar/minimarket right at the town center. We personally wouldn't recommend staying in Amalfi downtown to anyone since in Pontone we enjoyed the nature and silent beauty with the benefit of proximity to the center if more action was needed. Last but definitely not least we adored the hosts Antonella and Antonio who offered a breakfast (only on request for 7€ pp) with napoletanian coffee, helpful recommendations and great talks about just anything. We would 100% book again and would love to come back some day.

Parking in the area is difficult, you should book the private parking space.

L'accoglienza riservataci da parte di Antonella e Antonio è stata magnifica. Ci hanno spiegato come è nata la loro idea di creare dei soggiorni attorno ad un limoneto e ci hanno fatto vivere un'esperienza unica e rilassante. La camera è spaziosa con un piccolo soggiorno, un cucinotto staccato dalla camera, un bagno, ed un'ampia camera da letto.

Beautiful location, and the apartment was very comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Although we communicated our arrival time in advance, we still had to wait awhile to be let in. Additionally once at the apartment there isn’t any phone service, so it would be great if check in was more clear before arriving.

La struttura è molto bella, in mezzo a un limoneto. La camera prenotata era di recente ristrutturazione, con un bagno e una doccia bellissimi. Ottimo materasso.

Il letto mancava di una testiera e ci è stato fornito un solo cuscino. Per raggiungere la struttura bisogna salire delle scale piuttosto ripide. Avendo mia moglie incinta questi fattori non ci hanno agevolato. Un lato del letto è privo di comodino nonostante ci sia lo spazio. Devi appoggiare le cose per terra. Non è stato possibile fare colazione in quanto i proprietari non erano presenti. L’unico bar del paese aveva già finito tutto quando abbiamo provato a fare colazione lì. In camera non c’è neanche una macchinetta del caffè. In 3 notti di soggiorno non è stato possibile fare un cambio di asciugamani.
