Beautiful old pub with a great bar with a roaring log fire.bGreatvafter a chilly March day! The ale and food was very good too. The bed was comfortable although the room was tiny. I'd definitely go back as I'd like to explore the area a bit more.

The staff were a little bit disorganised when I arrived but as the friendly girl behind the bar was new I can forgive that! The self-serve breakfast was a bit sparce. A proper coffee machine would have been nice. Instant just doesn't do it for me!

Cosy pub with good food and selection of ales. Small bedroom with good sized shower.

Only help yourself continental breakfast in the week.

The only sad thing was looking forward to hearty cooked breakfast before spending a week on the broads but was informed only avaliable Saturday and Sunday morning not week days Which sadly wasnt stated when booking and sadly if know we would have booked some where different but to be honest the room and continental breakfast wasnt to sad

Very nice pub with super friendly staff, excellent location for visiting surrounding places…. Dog friendly……reasonable food and prices.

Booked family room for one night for just the two of us……. Room very sparse, would benefit from a little more decor and welcoming features. Strong musky smell in the room, probably from the disgustingly dirty carpets, had to open windows and spray deodorant. Plumbing in the bathroom needs serious attention….. no hot water at sink…… toilet flushes once then takes almost an hour to refill for a second flush…. Not acceptable for 2 guests yet alone a family. Room cleanliness very poor…… cobwebs and dust on all walls and surfaces….. shower was still wet on the glass at check-in…. Rinsed down with shower head but not cleaned or dried. Although it is a very nice pub and location I feel that more attention to staffing issues would be very beneficial….. reasonable price but would not book again!

Very spacious room, the food in the pub is excellent and staff were very friendly. The cooked breakfast on Sunday was exceptional and the DIY continental breakfast on Monday wasn't bad, only could have been improved with a coffee machine or filter coffee (as on Sunday). Excellent value overall though. A charming building. Loved the live sisinger on Saturday night.

There was some road noise but it didn't overly bother us. Would have preferred filter or a press button machine coffee with the weekday continental but for the price we paid we were happy.

Great place to stay if you’re visiting Horsey Gap or the beaches round there. Lots of character, nice people and good food
