Cute and Cosy Little Cottage

Lovely little cottage! Small but perfectly formed! Had everything you need for a short break. Comfy beds and tastefully decorated. Parking is in a layby opposite the property (the driveway is private), but easy to get a space. Village has a lovely pub, although booking is advisable as I just turned up on a Wednesday evening thinking it will be quiet and it was packed, so obviously popular! Within easy reach of several National Trust properties and not too far from Hastings or Eastbourne. Would highly recommend!

No dislikes, but a couple of minor suggestions: Some handles on the kitchen cupboards would be nice as they were difficult to open. The front door key was a bit tricky to open and took a bit of jiggling so might need a bit of attention.

Very comfortable. We had everything we needed. Off road parking was appreciated and outside garden area.

No hot water tap in the bathroom basin .

Beautiful location :) cute cosy little cottage annexe. Very self contained. Very well set up, very clever use of space, lovely indoor decor and kitchenette. Very modern. All mod cons. Lots of useful kitchen items.

A bit dusty/ cobwebs in places. No milk, no sugar, no hand towel ,not enough toilet paper, only 1 roll, tiny hand basin makes it a bit tricky to use for face washing/ tooth brushing etc. Upstairs bed in the eaves a bit tricky to get to safely as so close to the ceiling. Slightly scary getting up and down the wooden stairs and to the bed under the eaves as no rail around 2 sides of the stairs entrance upstairs.

Lack of info on how things like the wifi and the hob worked.

We had such a great time at the cottage, it was perfect for us & our dog. The host was lovely & helpful, she made sure the heating was on before we arrived so it was nice and cosy warm, supplied us with plenty of fire wood (though we didn’t use the fire as we were out & about most of the day & the radiators were all we needed) and even put out some dog bowls for us which was a lovely little touch. The dog loved the secure garden to run around. Some good pubs nearby for food/drink. We were in the area visiting family and would definitely stay here again. It is small (not a negative point - this was expected!) but upstairs with the beds felt quite roomy. It’s nicely decorated, the cooking facilities were great for just us two. A lovely little find and great location for where we needed to be!

Nothing - it was all great.

We liked the village location, close to an 14th century pub serving lovely food, great places to walk, children loved the tv. We went to Seven Sisters Country Oark and Spa Valley Railway.
