Cat Ba Hongkong Hotel

Room was okay. Ben was the nicest and helped me with everything. The breakfast was really nice too, you had lots of options to choose!

The staff is amiable and helpful, even for travel suggestions and tours.

One room has a smell

We were able to store our suitcases at Ben's for one night without any problems, as we had booked a boat tour with an overnight stay in Lan Ha Bay. There was also the option of a late check-out, we were even able to shower without any problems even though we had already checked out!

The beds were a bit hard and the air conditioning could not be turned down well at night. The street noise can also be heard quite clearly, as can the other hotel guests. The breakfast is not really sumptuous, you can choose between 6 options, but it's not really filling ...

Ben gave us valuable tips for eating out, we also booked a day tour through him, which was great! It was also very easy to hire a scooter from him!

Good introduction about tours and the island when we arrived. The staff was helpful regarding the arrangement of tours etc.

Bad smell in our room. Very small breakfast and some items from the menu cart were not available. High price for the rooms and not in line with the facility - far from… Renter scooters were not working OK and no compensation was given.

Very attentive staff, who offered advice and medication while I was sick during my stay. We booked scooters and excursions through the staff who were always very quick to reply.

The noise from the road when was loud during the day despite being on the 6th floor.

The location is good, hotel staff were helpful, and they have motorbikes to rent.

The aircon was old and very loud which wakes you up at night, and it dripped water onto the bed, and it had a pipe out of the back of it which dripped water constantly onto the bathroom floor. Breakfast was very basic but there are two good restaurants either side of the property that give you a 10% discount if you eat there.

Owner very helpful, arranged kayaking tour for us on the spot, very nice guy. Beds comfortable.
