GO2 Gloucester Hotel by OYO

It was a good location close enough to the M5 and it was quiet. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Good place for an overnight stay.

The guy on the desk was lovely, the location was great for what we needed. Was offered free parking. It's dog friendly. Tea and coffee in the rooms with plenty of extras available at reception. In early June parking on site wasn't an issue at all.

Was offered a bottle of long life milk but on opening it was clearly gone off, so not sure how they were storing it as it was well in date. We were given a 'superior' room upgrade yet it seems all guests that night were on the top floor. The lift was broken. We had an assistance dog so clearly at least one of us has a disability and was expected to climb a lot of stairs. The room was incredibly basic so if that isn't the basic room I dread to think what the basic looks like. You can hear everything, people talking, their footsteps in the hall, their conversations etc. We didn't use the shower yet there was a pubic hair on the floor of the shower and lots of grime. On the wall above the pillow there was a stain I desperately didn't want to identify!

Good hotel considering the low price. Clean and comfortable bed. Decent shower. Receptionist was very friendly and attentive. Pretty good location with food options near by.

The hotel was beginning some much needed renovations when we stayed. The place just needed minor improvements really. Bedroom furniture was very old and damaged, painting needed in places, bedside lamp didn't work, curtains were shabby, toilet seat was cracked. Having said all of that, the hotel was still excellent value for the low price.

Staff were extremely helpful, we could not have been made more at home

Bedside cabinet had no handles and water drainage was a bit slow but that said it was worth the money
