LTFirst of all, the owner's communication is very good! And the apartments themselves are simply wonderful, cozy, stylish and perfectly fit into the look of the old town. For this price - the best choice in Gamla Stan
Nothing, all perfect
NLEen mooie, centrale plek in stockholm, mijn appartement was ruim en zeer mooi, compleet en sfeervol ingericht. Goed ingerichte keuken, met afwasmachine en oven.
GRLocation. Friendly host
GBThe location was perfect, the communication with the owners was efficient and kind. it was authentic simple and genuine. We liked that it had been in the family for so long and was still being cared for. It was lovely but doesn’t look like the photos which must have been taken in the top apartment with more light. The owners were very helpful letting us leave our luggage safely until our ferry out of Stockholm.
The tray in the oven wasn’t very clean, the sofa wasn’t comfortable - it was made of plywood and felt very cheap, the ‘cupboard’ for the washing machine was shoddy.

CHDe locatie in het hart van Gamla Stan, de authentieke van de accomodatie en de sfeer die het creëert!
Eigenlijk was alles in orde!
USWe had a wonderful experience staying at this rental and would absolutely return. This was our first visit to Stockholm—traveling as a group of three (my mother, my aunt, and myself)—and the apartment’s location in the heart of Gamla Stan exceeded our expectations. While we had planned to visit Gamla Stan as a must-see attraction, staying directly in this historic neighborhood made our experience even more memorable. The apartment is tucked away down a quiet alley, offering peace and privacy despite being right in the center of a lively, bustling area filled with shops and restaurants. The location was ideal for exploring the rest of the city. We primarily used Uber to get around due to mobility considerations for my mom and aunt, and nothing was more than 15–20 minutes away, even with traffic. If not for those limitations, the city would have been very walkable from this base. The apartment itself was exceptional—charming, spacious, and full of character. You can truly feel the history of the building through its original features, including stone floors and classic wood-and-glass windows. The first floor featured a large dining area that comfortably seats 6–8 people, along with a cozy sitting area, an electric piano, and a well-equipped kitchen stocked with everything needed, including a coffee setup and full cookware. The bathroom was modern and spacious, with generous counter space, a washer/dryer combo, and a large stone shower with its own window and built-in shelves. Upstairs, there was another lounge area with seating and a TV, two large bedrooms, and a loft with a bed—where I slept, and found it both fun and comfortable. Our host was gracious and communicative throughout the stay. Instructions were clear, and at checkout, we appreciated the flexibility to leave our luggage in the entrance hallway for a few hours before heading to the airport. As the host manages the entire building, we felt comfortable and secure doing so. Incredible experience.
There was truly nothing we disliked about our stay, but we do want to share a few notes that may be helpful for future guests: The apartment has three spiral staircases leading up to the second-floor bedrooms and an additional staircase to access the loft. These stairs are steep and can be a bit challenging to navigate, especially for those with limited mobility. My mother and aunt took extra time and care moving between levels, and I found it a bit difficult to carry heavier luggage up and down. The 3rd spiral staircase to the bedroom requires you to duck at the top due to low clearance, and there are limited handholds for stability in that spot. Additionally, as the apartment is located in the heart of Gamla Stan, there are car restrictions in the area. We were dropped off about 250 meters from the apartment and had to walk the rest of the way. The route is through charming but uneven cobblestone streets, which made transporting large suitcases somewhat difficult. This is typical for accommodations in this historic district, and something to keep in mind when planning your arrival and departure. These are both items to consider for mobility issues. That being said - the apartment and area itself far outweighed these potential challenges. All of us agreed we would stay again. It just took a little extra time and care - and was more than well worth it. 10/10.
