The Old Granary Farm Cottage

We loved the rural setting and the cottage is really spacious and very clean. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly.

I debated writing this review but decided it was important in case others have a similar experience. The owners have three dogs that roam the property, including a young, territorial one with no recall. They asked us to notify them when coming or going so they can put the dogs away. Despite messaging them twice and calling to let them know we had arrived, the dogs were still off-leash. I was bitten on the leg as the dogs surrounded us. After the incident, the stay felt awkward. The owners didn’t seem to take the bite seriously and simply reiterated that we needed to notify them each time we wanted to leave so they could secure the dogs. It made the experience stressful and uncomfortable.

Lovely cottage which was very clean and had the amenities required. Our lovely hosts provided fresh milk and eggs which was a very nice touch.
