We had dinner in the dining room. Meals were very good staff friendly and helpful.

Room available on time and staff were helpful and cheerful. Parking, albeit limited, was available. Had breakfast which was good. A quirky old building with lots of character in a central location. Dinner was well cooked but a little too much 'pub grub'.

My twin bedded room, although cleaned and prepared, was tired and need of some attention. The shower room was particularly in need of repair and maintenance. Shower waste pipe leaked water onto the floor from leak under the shower tray and I had to run the hot water for 5 to 7 mins to get any hot water through the system. My room and stairway were in need repainting and some new carpets on the stairs and landings would brighten up the atmosphere.

Full-English breakfast was great - sausages sourced from local butcher are excellent. £12.95 very fair price for what they provide

I was only using the room to sleep as I was visiting a friend. It was adequate for my needs.

The room could have done with some sort of a chair and my biggest complaint was no wifi in my room. I couldn't connect while in my room, 2, so went down stairs to connect, as soon as I was in my room it had disappeared.
