Nice pub, nice room, friendly and helpful staff and very good value.

For me it was a nostalgic visit. Last visit was 50 years ago. Quaint is a good description and locals created a pleasant atmosphere. Room was very basic and appropriate for my needs. Bed comfortable, room nice and warm. En-suite dated but clean with a good shower. For a 3 night stay, it was okay. Only suitable for one person or a couple. TV was huge for such a small room.

The hairdryer was fixed in place on a high unit and would have been difficult to find, never mind used, for those less than 6' tall. The unit was so cluttered with a kettle, an electric unit of some kind, 2 cups, tins with coffee, teabags and sugar. In my opinion, the height of the unit makes using the kettle a health risk for smaller guests. A bit of thought needed to address these kinds of issues and raise the scoring levels of reviews. I believe that could easily be achieved without great cost to the hosts.
