Cottage at The Butchers Arms

A great little place for a trip to Cheltenham races. Highly recommended

Perfect location to travel into Cheltenham each day of the festival, the cottage is lovely and homely very clean, Jo was so lovely and very welcoming could not do enough for you, topped off with the lovely Butchers Arms food was fantastic and all the girls who worked there were a pleasure to meet can’t compliment them enough and will certainly be going again 😊

The host had left lots of lovely thoughtful additions to the stay , it was so lovely and welcoming,it was a lovely clean and cosy cottage. Not only did the stay exceed our expectations but on our departure or car battery had died and the owners helped us recharge it and get us on our way They were both so warm and helpful

Our host, Jo, came to meet us as we arrived at the property, to hand over the keys and give some information about the cottage. 'Half-Pint Cottage' is lovely, very welcoming and cosy. Fabulous additional extras were the delicious homemade blood orange marmalade and soda bread. Bottled water, tea, coffee, sugar, orange juice and organic milk were also kindly provided.

The breakfast bar was a little squished on leg-room to sit at on the side of the living area and the main door to the property could benefit from improved privacy screening. These are both very much a non-issue!

Well maintained, homely and has everything you would need for a short stay. Fresh local milk, orange juice and the host also added freshly baked soda bread and homemade marmalade as a welcome to the cottage. All very good quality and very tasty. Nice comfortable bed. Private parking space. Very quiet area. 16th century pub next to the cottage owned by the host (Jo) who is excellent.

Everything was spot on, our only issue was the shower isn't very powerful, but only a minor problem for us , wouldn't stop us returning though !

Cottage was cosy and well kitted out like a home from home

The cottage is lovely, everything you need for a nice stay. There were a lot of nice touches but the best was the home made loaf of bread for our breakfast.
