GBWhat a lovely place to stay for a 3 day break in the Borders. The staff were very friendly and helpful, directing us to the other pub in Norham for dinner. The room was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom looked new and the breakfast was delicious. The surrounding area was interesting for an evening walk by the River Tweed. The hotel is close to a beautiful old church and to the Castle.

The room was smaller and more cramped than we had expected. Although breakfast was good we didn't like having to decide what we wanted to eat the night before. When we had a partial power cut at night, we realised that there were no staff and no other guests in the building, and we had no means of contacting staff, no emergency number, for example. It made us feel vulnerable and wondering what we would have done in a full power cut, or an emergency. Although it was quickly sorted after staff arrived in the morning, it has put us off staying there again.

GBGBGBGreat location. Staff and welcome was great. Rooms had everything we needed. Great breakfast. This small village is well served with two quality pubs with food and rooms. We were on our way home from the Highlands and this was only a one night stop. We are planning a return visit. Thank you
