DEDas Corner Cottage war mein Zuhause für 2 Nächte. Es liegt sehr schön in einer ruhigen Gegend und wird von einer Familie geführt, der Gastfreundschaft wirklich am Herzen liegt. Giham holte mich vom Bus ab und half mir meine Ausflüge zu planen. Dank seiner Ideen und Vorschläge konnte ich Anuradhapura, Minhitale und sogar Wilpattu leicht und bequem erkunden, sogar kurzfristige Planänderungen hat er möglich gemacht. Entweder hat er mich begleitet, dorthin gebracht oder jemanden dafür organisiert. Divu zaubert köstliches Essen und kümmert sich liebevoll um ihre Gäste. Beide gehen auf Wünsche und Bedürfnisse ein und machen dabei immer mehr als sie müssten. Ihre Herzlichkeit hat meinen Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem gemacht. Die Familie mit ihren beiden Jungs ist mir in dieser kurzen Zeit sehr ans Herzen gewachsen und ich kann das Corner Cottage einfach nur empfehlen.

FRWe had a great stay with this family. Gihan and Dinu are incredible hosts, adorable and always ready to help us. I recommend you eat at their house; it's the best meals we've ever had. They organized our safari, temples, and even came to pick us up and take us back to the bus station. They are a very caring family. You can go to their house with your eyes closed.
PTVery nice, helpful and knowledgeable hosts. They organise Tuktuk tours to Anuradhapura sites and also mihintale (really worth this one!). Good value for money.
Location - far from city , requires tuk tuk to go anywhere. There is no hot water (not a big issue given the hot temperatures). The door doesn’t close properly. AC makes a lot of noise (a bit annoying during the night). Overall all fair for the price!
BEGihan et sa femme nous ont super bien accueillis. La chambre et la salle de bain était grandes et très propres. Nous avons également fait un cours de cuisine. Nous sommes d’abord aller au marché choisir les ingrédients et ensuite nous avons appris à faire un excellent Rice and Curry. Super expérience qu’on recommande fortement! Vous ne pouvez pas vous tromper avec ce logement, vous vous sentirez comme chez vous.

SGEverything was just as promised. There were no other guests that night so I had the living room and verandah to myself. Everything went as expected.

NLFrom start to finish, this family went above and beyond to make me feel at home. They took me everywhere, prepared the most delicious meals, and genuinely did everything they could to make my stay perfect. We had lovely conversations — not only about their family life but also about the country’s culture and history, which gave me a much deeper understanding of Sri Lanka. The father even took us on two early-morning tours at 4:30 AM, which were truly special experiences. The accommodation is clean, well-kept, and comfortable. Staying here was such a joy — I can’t recommend it enough. This is the kind of family you truly want to support!
