The New Kirkstead Guest House

The property has clearly been recently refurbished, the furniture is pretty new, bed was decently comfortable, shower was decent too. Owners pleasant.

It was not very well cleaned. There was dust everywhere, some mould in the corners. I was given two towels, one of which was absolutely filthy (see pictures), at least it smelled washed. The duvet looks like it has been through the apocalypse. The toilet didn’t have a sink so you had to walk all the way to your room to wash your hands. No soap was provided anywhere, but at least there was shower gel I could use for that. The entrance hallway smelt not very nice, although no smell issues in the room gladly.

Friendly staff, pleasant stay, great value for money

The property is lovely and I love the colours. The staff are absolutely fantastic and such lovely people was made so welcome by them all

The management couldnt be faulted I was very impressed with the way they handled all my stay

Could do with a locked box to put keys in if you want to leave early

Went to.book in guy said fully booked paud prior and already booked was turned away and left stranded absolutely appauled want full refund and compensation for the inconvenience.
