The Guest House in Sheringham

We booked about half an hour before arriving. Elizabeth was very helpful and friendly. The room was at the top of the house and had views from the bay window. The bed was really comfy.

There wasn't really anything not to like, except that the shower was running a bit cold on the morning we left.

First impressions from outside were grim as the exterior looks a bit grubby which explains why the picture on booking dot com was not of the actual property . However the inside was nice and room was very comfortable. I thought the rate was high at 120 room only but Sheringham does seem to be pricier that other villages round about

The location was excellent - handy for all facilities. The welcome from Elizabeth was friendly.

The room was poor value for £120 and no breakfast (we did know that in advance). There were no bedside lights and no hot water. This was the case in both of the rooms we booked.

Location was perfect for Sheringham, train station, buses etc.

It was very shabby and the price was excessive for what we got. We struggled to see how it attained AA*** status! There were workmen obviously doing renovations - very noisy BUT no reduced rates. No hot water for a shower in the morning, had to ask.

Overall appearance rather shabby but our room was freshly decorated.
