We could not sleep so much noise the landlord ask them to be quiet but they were outside till after 1am outside the pu chatting it was horrible stay Premier is better

Comfortable room and bed with decent size en-suite bathroom. No fuss, convenient access to accommodation

Bathroom quite basic, parts of the room/furniture could do with renovation. The sound of doors closing travelled a bit through the building

Fast check in, lovely old pub right in the centre of ambleside

Rooms are dated but there were signs saying they are renovating in January 2026 so we will be back definitely

Location was good , pillows and duvet were good.

Would of liked a TV and a bottle of water , maybe a better shower but was ok.

Fast, friendly and helpful check in. Good sized room. Lovely traditional pub downstairs - great on a rainy night ! Central location just a few minutes walk to village and the shops.

Could have done with a TV but got roubd that with good wifi connection.

No breakfast included. Comfortable room in a perfect, central location.

Rooms & bathrooms are a little tired, although I did note the information stating that a modernisation will be taking place soon, so no real complaints on that front. The inclusion of breakfast would also be an improvement.

Location very good. Very close to town centre but up a quiet road. This is a pub and so good to have access to the bar downstairs. However see next comments.

1) Ideally breakfast to be offered but I accept that that is a decision for the owners. 2) Unfortunately when I arrived I was told that there would be no evening food in the pub for the two days of my stay, due to some problem with staffing the kitchen I believe. The availability of food in the evening was one of the specific reasons for booking this location so this was disappointing. It would have been helpful to have been given a little notice of this problem, even if only a day or two before. 3) Room was basic but clean and tidy, but very much in need of an overhaul. Complete re painting of virtually every wall needed and repairs to various areas of damage or flaking / loss of paint. In fairness, though, there is a notice in the room which says that the room is in need of attention and for that reason the room rate is lower than other similar facilities in the town.
