AUIncredible value for money. The host is very helpful; he responded quickly to calls and messages via WhatsApp and can organise you your safari. Couldn't ask for more with the room. Clean with a modern air con and the hot water and water pressure of the shower was perfect. But the best part was dinner which was a lovely Sri Lankan meal with many traditional dishes that was as tasty as it was filling.
Only thing I can think of is that it is a 30+ min walk to the main street but the host was kind enough to drop me to the bus station and the ATM :)
DEThe owner of the accommodation was very nice. He will also organise the safari for you if you wish. His mother cooks a very tasty meal, which we can also highly recommend. The bed is very comfortable. Sleeping in the clay house is also a nice experience.
DEThe safari clay house is an unique experience. We stayed for one night, but we could imagine to stay longer. We got some refreshing welcome drinks on arrival, the owner helped us organizing a safari at the Udawalawe National Park and we got a delicious curry for dinner in the accommodation. The room was spacious, really well equipped (even with a hair dryer) and perfectly clean. Definitely recommendable!
We were driving with our own Tuktuk and the way to the accommodation was a little tough to drive. The pillows were a little too hard, but of course that is depending on the personal preference.
GBOne of the best places we have stayed - and for such a good price!! The clay hut is fabulous - very clean and a wonderful aroma of cinnamon! Dinner was awesome, and the safari organised for us by the host was incredible- would definitely book through them.
The road to get there is a little tricky - we hitched a ride with our safari jeep on the way out!
AUThe host is always there to help, he organized my safari and made me great food. It was a peaceful stay.
HUHonestly, I donât think you could find a better place close to Udulawawa. Very helpful host, beautiful garden, tasty food, comfortable room & bed.
CZWe enjoyed our stay in the cottage really much. The place is nicely designed and well equiped, settled in a peaceful Village environment. The host is really helpful and prepares tasty breakfast and dinner. Also offers safari tour.
NOCute and clean huts with everything you need. The owners are also really helpful with organizing safari and transport. We had dinner and breakfast there and it was tasty and the portions were big. Would stay there again.
There was no curtain in front of the window so we could block out the light at night.
