HUVery friendly welcome by the hosts. Even the dogs got treats. :) Very big, comfortable room, rustic atmosphere. Easy to park in the garden very near to the entrance. Lovely little fenced garden where the dogs had direct entry. Breakfast. There was no meal in the reservation, but there was a huge breakfast, bigger that I have ever seen in the UK :)
Bathroom was small and cold. I know in the UK cold is not so cold but to me it was as cold in the evening that I skipped the shower.
GBI had an overnight stay on my journey from Norfolk to Fife. I hady husky with me. It was lovely that he could have the run of the place. I had a comfortable night's sleep.

GBRight by a cut-through road, this was a farmhouse owned once by the owner’s grandparents, so you cannot miss it. Nevertheless it is very quiet, except around rush hour, and even then, not much noise. The bedrooms are on the rear anyway, so no noise there. You kind of live there with strangers, but everyone seems to make the effort to be very tidy and the lounge is comfy with a big TV and there are TVs in the rooms. If you are around Barnard Castle heading down towards the A1, stay here.

GBEasy to find and park. Good location. Great communication from hosts, who were very helpful and responsive. Room was spacious and comfortable with nice toiletries. Great to have a kitchen available even though I didn't use it this time
Shower seemed to be stuck on super-hot, but it probably helped after a long drive. Some noisy/ inconsiderate guests arrived late but I still managed to sleep OK as they quietened down fairly quickly. Was really hot in the room, and I couldn't turn down the radiator, but I came down from the north of Scotland so I'm probably not used to being so warm!
