My favourite place in Guatemala, I loved pretty much everything about this place. Victor is an amazing member of staff who is so friendly and helpful and such a good cook! I loved the food, especially the evening meals and the home made banana jam in crepes for breakfast! The private cabin with private bathroom is in such a nice green setting (take mosquito repellent) and I loved all the plants and various species of wildlife. The bathroom is really cool being an inside/outside type setting, with the rocks forming part of the bathroom. It's only cold water shower, but I knew to expect that. I loved how relaxing the place was and enjoyed jumping in to the river off the higher platform and the location down the river was perfect for me. I wish I found this place sooner as I absolutely loved it.

The lighting in the bedroom isn't the best and could do with a little lamp or something beside the bed if it's possible with the solar power. Wasn't a problem for me at all, but just a mention, you can only charge electronics in a shared area. Was totally fine for me and it was super safe there, but it's just a mention to be aware

The place is very beautiful and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is good. Too bad we didn't have more days to stay there.

When we booked on Booking it appeared in the list of facilities "free airport shuttle." I think this is an error because it is not a scheduled service

We had a very nice stay at Palmeras. The host, Victor, was very nice and a very good cook. The place was nice with areas to chill as well. We had the best time.

This place does a great job of accommodating your needs. I loved how helpful they are with setting up activities for you and getting any food or drinks that you want.

I really have no complaints, this place is very unique and super cool.

We planned to stay a few nights and ended up staying more than a week. What an amazing place on earth, but what made it really special where Luis and Victor. Because of them we felt at home and of course their food and cocktails were amazing as well! Hope to see you again guys. For a wizard rematch! And greetings to Balu, wifey and the kids.

Everything was perfect!

Gorgeous riverside location, right in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by hummingbird and beautiful garden. Our room was in a separate cabin and had a private balcony with hammock and open air bathroom. Overall such a unique and memorable stay. Lovely food cooked by chef Victor, and manager Luis was wonderful - he took excellent care of us and organised our kayaking trips to the lagoons and Livingston.

This is a very special, super relaxed place run by the incredibly friendly and well organised team - Luis and Victor. Accommodation is set next to the river in nature amongst tropical planting. Clean and comfortable. Free water. Safe river swimming. Evening meals are superb, 'Plat De Jour' set meals, delicious and different every evening of our seven nights. All food and drink is priced fairly. The meals are enjoyed together at a communal table. This creates a very welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where you can meet and chat with other travellers over dinner. This is not a party place and there's limited WiFi, but that's unnecessary as you'll be busy doing nothing, relaxing, swimming, verbally communicating and arranging to extend your stay! Explore the area by kayak. This and boat transfers can be arranged with Luis. A very special location and superb hosts. Great value for money. Highly recommended.
