Grade II Listed House near Chatsworth

Full of character and space. Modernised sympathetically and maintained many original features. Well equipped and comfortable.

Only down side was some road noise.

Very good property for family stay. Host was very thoughtful and paid attention to details to make our stay comfortable including plenty of supplies. This property is very well situated to go around peak district.

Clear instructions about the electronic key code, no keys to collect. Great location for exploring the beauty of Derbyshire. Incredibly well equipped. Very spacious. Pub and shops in walking distance. Perfect for family gatherings.

Very well equipped beautiful cottage. Had everything we needed and more . Beds so comfortable. Great location for a ladies break. Lovely touch to have it decorated for Christmas too helped us get into the Christmas spirit !

Nothing was lovely

It was a very good size for us staying as a group and the games room downstairs was a very nice touch. The garden table and chairs was also very nice to use in the evening. The location was perfect with a bus stop right outside to get you to Bakewell and back. There is a pub a very short walk away as well as a hotel restaurant right opposite. The cottage is nicely decorated and the kitchen had a big oven, a dishwasher and there was a separate utility room. There was ample parking on the driveway for three cars.

It was advertised as having five bedroom but it was actually only four bedrooms. The sofa bed is in a hallway that you have to walk through to get to one of the double rooms so there is not much privacy for the people using those beds. The sofa bed was not made up for someone to sleep in even though we booked it for someone to sleep in. It was instead set out as a sofa for someone to sit on. So the person sleeping in the sofa bed had to make up the bedding themselves with the duvet and sheets in the drawers underneath. There was a welcome basket which was a nice touch, especially the Prosecco that was left in the fridge. However it seemed very random and more like left overs put in the basket from a previous guest. For example there wasn’t much in the basket but it did include some out of date Dorito crisps and a jar of unlabelled jam and unlabelled biscuits.
