Martha's apartment is just amazing. Not only is the apartment perfectly located, very clean and very comfortable, with all the amenities you could ask for, but staying with Martha is like staying with a dear friend. She welcomes you personally, shows you the ropes on how to get around Cinque Terre, suggests restaurants and even books the best table for you. She is truly the best host we've ever had. Thank you, Martha!

Our stay at The Upper House was short but unforgettable – especially thanks to our host, Martha She was super friendly, helpful, and full of energy. From the moment we checked in, she welcomed us with a warm smile and gave us great tips: from boat trips along the coast to train rides between the Cinque Terre villages – including help with booking and using the Cinque Terre Card. Thanks to her recommendations, we were able to make the most of our day. Martha truly knows all the beautiful spots in the region and shares her knowledge with genuine enthusiasm. A host like her makes all the difference. absolutely tip-top!

This is a beautiful set of apartments/rooms. Very clean and modern, with everything you need for your stay. Martha is an amazing host and offered a complete outline and recommendations on how to make the most of our short stay in Riomaggiore. We traveled as a family of five, and booked two rooms. Each was unique and beautifully-appointed. I would absolutely love to go back and stay at the Upper House.

It’s a steep haul up to the property. If you have more than a day pack, use the available porter Martha offers.

Martha completely made our short time in Cinque Terra Not only was she waiting for us when we arrived to help with a parking “Snafuu” , but she helped us make the most of our time there She told us what to do on the towns She booked us the sunset tour which was breathtaking She recommended two great dinner places She helped us navigate the trains , towns . Etc AMAZING service that felt like we were part of the family To say I would “highly recommend” the place and Martha would be an understatement …… She made our time there the best experience possible I will also say that Rommagio is in my view the best place of the towns to stay Just a bit quieter and less “beachy”

Nothing ….. But be prepared for stairs Some people may not be able to deal with the quick elevation changes of the area But some elevators do help

Clean, quiet and comfortable room with brand new AC that worked flawlessly (with very quiet 'night' mode) :) Martha explained everything about 5-Terre, told us about all the applicable discounts, hiking options and how to go around the place - all that was super helpful. I can recommend this place and would stay there again :)

The mattress was a bid hard for me, but it's really subjective :)
