Le Maree Deluxe Apartment by Dimore Trinacria

The apartment was large and spacious with a very well equipped kitchen with everything you would need. It was clean and tastefully decorated. It had a lovely roof terrace which we used a couple of times and lovely views of the sea. It is well positioned for walking into Oritigia with its restaurants for the evening and key sites for visiting during the day.

Because of size and height of the building there were stairs up to the bedroom and roof top. This wasn’t a problem but I did have to take care walking up and down as it’s an open staircase so to be mindful for those who are not so stable on their feet.

Nice and bright and loved the roof terrace. Great location for the market and town

Just 1 bathroom with a shower and I toilet so not great for 2 couples. Shower needed upgrading as stained curtain and shower tray. Upstairs terrace could have had a clean.

Had washer and dryer. Was close to parking. Had a very nice view of the water.

Shower was moldy, second bedroom had a piece of plastic for a cutain door and closet outside in the hallway. Advertised as two baths on booking.com but is only 1.5 baths. Air conditioning is old and fortunately we did not need it since it only blew warm air.

Beautiful views, comfortable beds, spacious, and the best location.

Amazing location! You are at the edge of the old town Otigia, with nice restaurants around you. From your flat you have a great view on the sea. We also liked that the apartment was spacious (kitchen, living room). We had two small kids and it was therefore convenient. Terrasse is great, even though it was not set up when we arrived (probably because it was February - however, it was a very warm week with lots of sun,). We set it up ourselves and cleaned everything. Note that the terrasse is two levels above the kitchen, so you probably won't use it every day to have breakfast and dinner. Good communication with the facility manager - speedy answers but also quite anonymous (not a lot of information given about the flat, eg how to deal with the garbage.) Comfortable beds - we slept well! You have parking near to the house (15 euro a day). Parking seemed very abandoned/scary at first, with drunk and homeless people sleeping near to your car, but nothing happened to the car in over a week.

The flat is nice but calling it "deluxe" is misleading: - flat really needs a refreshment (paint, some furniture, shower curtain). I think the pictures were taken a long time ago. - the flat was clean at first sight but if you looked closer it really wasn't (lots of dust everywhere, hair in bathroom, pieces of bread in the sofa, dirty cutlery). - weird smell in the bathroom (coming from the tubes?). We mostly showered with the windows open so that the smell doesnt bother - very loud music in one night during our stay (from bar below). Luckily it was just in the first night. - note that there is just one bedroom with a closed door. The other bedroom is separated by a curtain. No problem for a family but I wouldn't go with two.separate couples that need privacy. - some basics missing in kitchen: bread knife. Sharp knives in general, mixer
