LA SUNSET CONDO

The location was within walking distance from everything and the view from the condo was absolutely beautiful especially the sunsets. Ms Gilda and Ms Lore provided us with everything that made our stay comfortable and memorable💖

There was nothing we didn’t like about it the only thing I would say is that the flight of steps to get to the condo and the steep streets make it extremely challenging for someone with physical impairments or an elderly person to come and go to the condo.

The facility itself was beautiful! It had a great view! Close to restaurants and other places to visit.

We were at the top of a steep hill and then had to walk up three flights of stairs to reach our room. Separately, each leg of walking is great, but walking from the central plaza to the uphill and then the flights of stairs was a struggle for me.

Excellent view. Property managers extremely responsive and friendly. Clean, spacious place. Great bed.

Loved the space, charm, and comfort. The view obviously is spectacular. The swimming pool was great to have on hand also.

The only partial negative was the internet which was intermittent then stopped working altogether.

I really can't say enough good things about La Sunset Condo. It's a comfortable, tastefully decorated living space. The balcony and patio have fabulous views of the city. My husband and I enjoyed the vista over wine at sunset on several evenings. We spent a week at the condo, and the managers, Lore and Michael, were wonderful. I arrived in San Miguel having just taken a fall in Queretaro. After a day of pain, I decided that I needed to see a doctor and get some x-rays. Michael not only set up a same-day appointment for me with his personal doctor, but he also drove me and my husband to the doctor's office. Fortunately, with some medications, I was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation, and Lore was kind enough to check up on me and my health. I have stayed at dozens of short-term rentals all around the world, and that kind of attention and support is exceptional. While the condo is not right off the Jardin, which is at the heart of the city's activities, it is within walking distance of it and other services (according to my husband, who did the walking).

One thing that I will note is that La Sunset Condo is not accessible for visitors with wheelchairs or serious physical disabilities. While there is an open-air elevator, there are steps and inclined walkways between the building's front door and the elevator and between the elevator's exit and the condo's front door. The building itself also is a good ways up a steep hill that could be hard for some people to get up and difficult for people with bad knees to go down. Of course, all of San Miguel is hilly, and because of my knee problems, I ended up taking a lot of taxis and Ubers around anyway. In the condo complex, I was able to negotiate the walkways and stairs since most of them have railings.

Loved the electronic entrance. Just punch in the code. This is a perfect place for adventuring travelers. There’s an uphill hike to the property entrance and then another uphill hike to the apartment. This lends for some incredible views. Close to my favorite Italian restaurant, La Favilosa. Easy communication with the property manager and available to answer any questions. Be prepared to enjoy Mexico’s go with the flow adventure and you will have a surprisingly fantastic time. The pool is beautiful and a lovely bonus for hot SMA Days.

There was a bit of a challenge with the WiFi but that was fixed in 2 days and the power went out for a little while, no biggie. Due to some wonderfully unforeseen circumstances (valley of the corn parade) we didn’t have a house orientation, that’s ok we can figure it out but we did run into some confusing instructions related to taking out the trash. Be advised there is new apartment construction directly behind the apartment and it starts 8am-5/6pm Monday-Saturday.

This is a lovely property so close to historical Centro. We have stayed in this neighborhood before in a property closer to the church. However, La Sunset is more modern, gorgeous views, well built, and has everything. It is just far enough away that the all-night random church bells do not keep you up, and still a short walk away from all the best restaurants and cafe and OXXO. The hosts are wonderful and very attentive to details. The folding chairs and tables to sit on the lovely two balconies to watch the churches and historic buildings are nice to create memories.

The shower pressure was low and that is to be expected in historic areas and buildings in most cities in Mexico.

We had property manager Lorena reach out to us before we arrived to ensure we got the keys and made sure we were looked after in terms of transfers to and from the airport. Lorena is a ray of sunshine and provided us with so many great recommendations that made our stay special and made us feel like home off the bat. The views are absolutely gorgeous, the sunset is to die for. The rooms are so spacious and if we could have extended our trip, we both would have loved to stay here longer. We searched high and low for a nice place with a balcony but struggled in the main city which makes this property unlike any others in the town! We were able to use the laundry mid trip was a big plus. Another shout out to Lorena who was our favourite local of our 4 week trip!!
