The Moonlight at Ryedale House

We loved the location. Plenty of shops and restaurants on the doorstep and a few minutes walk to the main centre. It was also a very spacious flat with plenty of storage.

The kitchen dishes and cutlery could have been cleaner! Also the lounge sofas have been well used and need replacing. They had stains on them and were very worn and a bit smelly. It made us feel uncomfortable.

Location good

- the balcony door cannot be opened due to the landlord withholding this as an option and the apartment is really hot in summer so no air can be circulated through the living area - they claim they provide fans to offset this yet they were filthy with dust and did not cool the living area properly - the bathroom door was broken in one of the bathrooms and we flagged it and got zero response - the apartment had not been cleaned properly upon arrival, bird poo covered the balcony, hair was all over the couches and carpet, the floors were filthy and clearly no one had viewed the property to sign it off before we arrived

A lovely spacious apartment, very central. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Would have liked to open lounge balcony door for some air. But fans provided so not really a problem.

Apartment was very convenient to the centre of York so we didn’t have to use our car at all, which is what we wanted. It was clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Master bedroom ensuite has a bath and shower and 2nd bedroom just has a shower. Beds were very comfortable and, given we were there when the temperature was over 30 degrees, the portable fans in each room were very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone wanting a getaway to York for any length of time.

Was a shame the sliding door to the balcony off the lounge couldn’t be opened to let in some fresh air but totally understand the reasons given as to why this was the case.

Lovely modern apartment with crisp and clean linen on the beds. Great laundry and a 3rd toilet.

Only one lift working. Felt the cleaning was a little lax.

I would have been nice to have had a welcome basket that contained sweets, crisps,biscuits,tea and coffee bags.
