Accueil chaleureux de nos hôtes, toujours bienveillants et soucieux qu il nous manque rien. Ils nous ont même envoyé un message avant notre arrivée. Chaque jour le petit déjeuner est copieux, différent et cuisiné avec passion.

Il faut savoir qu il n y a pas de vue sur l extérieur. Les rideaux sont continuellement fermés. Un rapport qualite prix le plus élevé de notre voyage au Sri Lanka.

Die Zimmer sind zwar einfach eingerichtet, aber dafür wirklich makellos sauber. Was diesen Aufenthalt besonders gemacht hat, waren die unglaublich netten und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber. Sie hatten nicht nur viele tolle Tipps für die Umgebung, sondern haben uns auch spontan bei einem Arztbesuch geholfen und sogar bei der Organisation von Zugtickets unterstützt – das war unbezahlbar! Und das Frühstück war mit großem Abstand das beste, das wir auf unserer Reise hatten – frisch, vielfältig und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Vielen, vielen Dank – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

If you are looking for an authentic Jaffna homestay you will not do better than Berty’s cottage. Our hosts Hilda and Berty were just wonderful in every respect. Hilda is a wealth of knowledge about the local area and helped us to plan our days in Jaffna. Berty is a wonderful host and an incredible cook who made delicious breakfast. These varied each day and were delicious . The guest house was comfortable. Our rooms were spacious and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

The meals were delicious traditional Sri Lankan fare and better than the restaurants. Hosts Berty and Hilda were friendly and efficient at organizing anything we needed, including Tuk-tuk transport, with good understanding of English. The rooms were spacious, spotless and wonderfully cool. Our best accommodation in Sri Lanka so far.

Realy nice host. They give us everyday a different lovely homemade breakfast. So nice. They organice if you like nice trips.

A very quiet location filled with lush green shade around and a well maintained garden with a variety of tropical plants. Easily accessible to the infrastructure, though not on the main road.
