Henry's Cottage

Very comfortable cottage with everything you need. Beautiful scenery with lovely walks straight from the door.

Mooi schoon huisje op een boerderij dichtbij veel mooie wandelpaden. Hele stille omgeving. Beneden is er een keuken, kleine eettafel, bank en tv. Veel plek om spullen neer te zetten. Boven slaapkamer, hele mooie douche en nog meer ruimte voor koffers etc. Goede restaurants op loopafstand. Winkels zijn wat verder weg, alleen met auto bereikbaar.

Het bed is veel te klein en beddengoed voelt als plastic. Hebben hierdoor minder kunnen slapen ondanks dat het heel rustig was. Zithoek buiten zijn twee stoelen en tafel maar niet echt in tuin. Contact met eigenaar was minimaal.

Beautiful setting in Burnsall, fortunate to see swifts, swallows and house martins among numerous other birds both from the cottage and along the river. Great walking from the door plus a comfortable, cosy and well equipped cottage. Alice was the perfect host.

My husband and I had a lovely relaxing 3 day stay at Henry's cottage, nice touch with the fresh eggs and milk, comfortable bed and owners welcoming. We would definitely return here.

It would have been nice to have some portable heaters but that’s only because my husband is always cold!

Fabulous little cottage that is part of a working farm and so not depriving any locals of accommodation as is the case with many airBNBs. It comes with everything you need and alongside toiletries we were pleasantly surprised to find milk, coffee, tea, eggs and even olive oil all supplied by the hosts, who were very welcoming and friendly while affording you privacy should you want it. It's a short walk to the village of Burnsall and plenty of fabulous walks all on the doorstep. Because you are on a working farm we were able to see he newborn lambs as they arrived.
