Canon Craig, Luxurious Lakeland stone Cottage

Gorgeous decor, all essentials available and excellent location.

Cottage was very stylish and in great location.

The main bed had roll together so didn't sleep great. The second bedroom needed a mirror More hooks needed to hang dressing gowns/wet towels in bedroom

Great location to the town, quiet road. The house has everything you need and more, was warm, comfortable and perfect for what we needed.

The shower is a little tricky to regulate the temperature, not a negative its just a caution especially if somebody runs the tap downstairs it goes boiling hot in the shower.

My family and I visit the lake district every year as we love it here this property is absolutely stunning, warm and very cozy and by far the best property we have stayed at. It’s in a great location just 5 minute walk to the shops and a 10 minute walk to the lake. On arrival there was a small maintenance issue, so I contacted the host who then fixed the issue with in 10 minutes of me letting them know. The host also provided me with a bottle of Prosecco for the small inconvenience, couldn’t ask for a better host. The property is stunning and we enjoyed it so much we rang to extend our stay a little long, which was once again not a problem for the host even at such short notice. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing and I cannot wait for my next visit to the lakes, and I won’t be staying any where else other than Canon Craig cottage!!

There’s nothing I would change

The house was clean and well furnished. Really lovely space for 4 adults and 1 child. Perfect location to walk into Bowness-on-Windermere. Easy communication with the owners. Door lock was easy to use and handy to not need a key!

Gas fire didn't work, would have been nice to have been used as downstairs was a bit cool at times due to it being open plan.

The house was very luxurious, modern and clean. Hosts very kind in moving our booking when our pet was ill.

The property had a stunning interior and had been refurbished to a very high standard . It was very clean with good facilities. The location was perfect for access to the heart of Bowness.

The bed in the 2 nd bedroom was quite small for our daughter and her fiancé who is 6’3”. It was quite difficult to find parking spaces close to the property as it is just on street parking . The downstairs is very open plan , we were there on a very cold weekend and found it quite cold . Unfortunately the gas fire was not working . The bedrooms were nice and warm.

The location and facilities of the property were exceptional. My husband has a rule of never staying anywhere that isn’t as lovely as your own home. This matched up with ease.

Nothing. However, a little welcome pack would have been a lovely extra.
