Stay with Robin

We had a wonderful stay with Robin and Marie. We chose the dinner option, and it was absolutely delicious! We really enjoyed the chance to chat and share stories over the meal. Breakfast was lovely too, especially the goose egg (very nice discovery!). The room was very clean and cosy, and we felt well looked after. Thank you Robin, et merci Marie pour votre accueil :) Rosie the cat is the cutest.

The room and en-suite are to the right through the front door of this beautiful oak house. It is located down a country lane and private drive. The Booking map was able to take us there with no problem. The bed was comfortable and there was a great shower and bathroom. A delicious breakfast was served outside on the terrace looking out at the wild flower meadow and woodland. Robin and Maria were wonderful hosts.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The property is in a beautiful part of the country. It is exceedingly isolated in what one might consider a nature reserve. The owner has all manner of farm animals, ducks, chickens, cattle and pigs, whilst wildlife abounds in the surrounding meadows. On a sunny day, sitting on the comfortable chairs outside, its a special place to be and highly recommended.

優しくて気さくなおふたりと、とても楽しい時間を過ごせました。夕食は、手作りの食事とワインが美味しくて、朝食では、生みたての卵やソーセージ、フルーツいっぱいのシリアルがとっても美味しかったです。お部屋は素敵で、ベッドは寝心地が良かったです。 １３００年代に建てられた教会を見に、散歩をしました。教会は神秘的で、ブルーベルがいっぱいの綺麗な景色の中、野生のきつねにも出会えました。忘れ物をしてしまったのですが、親切に対応してくださいました。ありがとうございました。また必ず泊りに行きます！

Wonderful host, food, location, comfort.

Lovely stay with Robin and Marie who were very welcoming and attentative. We had a lovely coffee with Marie on arrival. The facilities were great and the bed was very comfortable. Robin provided a taxi service for us to and from a party venue which was very helpful and appreciated. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend a stay here.Thank you Robin and Marie.

Robin et Marie étaient charmant, nous avons dîné avec eux c’était joyeux. Nous ont cuisiné un bon dîner et petit dej Le lit était confort, et nous étions en pleine nature Un bon et beau moment !

Il faut prévoir du cash si vous voulez dîner sur place!

Breakfast was excellent BUT it was served quite a bit later than we expected (09.00 or later). We were therefore unable to get out any earlier than 10.00 which was a bit disappointing. The property is very isolated but it was nice to wander around to see the livestock. There is a pleasant walk to the local church and there is also a pub within walking distance.

Directions to the property were unclear and Robin had promised to place a few of balloons adjacent to the entrance drive but unfortunately he forgot. The clothes cupboard and one of the chest of drawers was full of the owners own clothes and other belongings such as medicines eggs and other foodstuff which meant we couldn't unpack all our own stuff. A tv and tea making facilities in the bedroom would be a great improvement.
