Mistiq Temple I

It is a beautiful property with spacious and luxurious apartments, but that’s it.

This was one of my worst experiences ever and for sure, my worst experience in Mexico. The main reason why we reserved this property was because we wanted a private pool. However out of 6 days we were only able to use the pool once because nobody cared to tell us that the pool system was not working. Meaning that the pool had sediments and we could not filter the pool in order to use a clean pool. Besides this, the elevator in our building didn’t work, and nobody explained to us until days later the reason why, meanwhile, the elevator in the building in front of us was working just fine. The staff has no knowledge or care for proper customer service, we got lost in the property the day we got there because we didn’t get the correct explanations to get to our apartment. We found a huge cockroach in our apartment and the lights in our bedroom stopped working on day 3 as well. Things were so chaotic for us that at some point we just gave up and stopped trying to communicate these issues because the staff couldn’t do anything to fix it. We were able to talk to the Facility Manager in the property, very kind, and she was the only person we felt cared about our situation, but still, nothing was done about it.

Design and comfort

Clear place and great opportunity to rest out from the city Amidst the nature and amazing city which is Tulum

Everything looked beautiful, even the location is ok without too much construction nearby, the building looks new, the views are great from any of the six rooftop pools, everything just looks fantastic, the apartment is also very nice and comfortable, has enough dishes and a outdoor grill, the mattress was unbelievably comfortable

But then the power went off for several hours almost every day during our stay and obviously you also lose water, so forget about doing the dishes, taking a shower or using the toilet, there was some rain during our first night and then in the morning the utility company was doing some work close to the building, but it took several hours to get it back and staff could not do anything because it was not a problem with the building but with the utility company, it probably has to do with the fact that the building is far from downtown and the is a lot of vegetation which could cause those issues, nevertheless I'll try to comeback

The hotel is set right in the jungle but is still close to the beach and the town. It is beautiful and there are several swimming pools so it was easy to have one to yourself - with a superb view. The rooms are large and the bathrooms and kitchens etc are well designed.

Just like on pictures, elegant, good installations, plenty of green, perfect gym adnd internet

Just take into consideration the distances from the beach and other attractions and how you want to cover them. Still better than many other hotels in Tulum though
