Lovely building, superb bar, friendly and relaxed staff. Lovely attic room with pleasant decor.

Highly irritating motion sensor light in the en suite that kept us both awake at night after blinding us while visiting the toilet. What's wrong with a switch? No change of bedding, no daily change of used cups or glasses. No 'top-up' of in room tea/coffee or water, we had to ask for these at reception. Room was quite dusty and previous occupants hair still in the shower which we removed ourselves. Overpriced restaurant for what is served.

Although our second room was big enough, the cleanliness wasn’t as good as the first room we saw. There was a lot of dust especially underneath the radiators, as well as remnants of what I assume was something like Sherry in a decanter in the room. Food was of good quality.

I thought the cost of the drinks in the bar were expensive. And some of the food we did receive was cold when it came from the kitchen. We stayed two nights, but on the second day our room wasn’t made up. We were told we should have put something on the door to say we wanted the room cleaned, but there wasn’t anything like that in our room.

The staff were exemplary and went over and above to provide a great service. Overall a great experience.

It’s a beautiful, quaint and atmospheric property in a really good location with free and plentiful parking. The room was really cosy and comfortable

Comfy bed. Nice bedding. Some nice extra touches like the sloe gin left in the room each night

Badly stained carpet which really needs replacing. Bathroom wasn't as clean as it should be. Room was quite small.
