Location was great right on the West Highland Way. The owner was very helpful.

It was a weird place more like a commune than a campsite. The tents weee dirty with hair on the bed and packets down the side of the bed looked as it had been slept in and it wasn’t just one of the tents that were dirty. A group over the back were smoking weed and drinking and a family beside looked like they were staying there indefinitely with the large Alsatian following us into the left open tent. We left and didn’t stay overnight. Old caravans around the perimeter with pirate flags. Looked onto us as we felt as though they should have been in the knackers yard. 2 assistants weren’t much cleaner than the tents. Not nice at all. We left and the owner refunded. But this is for others not to be disappointed as we were going into something else. This is a campsite it’s cheap and understand that things are rural but general cleaning is expected and beds should be freshly made.

The view outside

The room was nothing like the photo. It was about the size of a Swiss sauna with the cladding to match, just big enough for a small double bed. No heating or hot water. A fan was provided after reminding staff that it was freezing, how however it was a heater that was either full blast or off, so woke up freezing on an uncomfortable mattress, oh and the loose nail in the cladding that caught my shoulder topped it off. Too polite to properly kick off as it was supposed to be a romantic weekend, we made the best of it, but paying nearly £120 for that for one night definitely put a downer on things. Wish id taken photos so the shoe box of a room could be understood, but picture a sauna sized room with a bed in the corner
