I can't express enough how great the host was. Very helpful and caring. The place is fully stocked of everything you ever need while staying. It was incredibly cozy, clean and beautiful.

To begin with - I wasnt sure if I should book this place due to its price, but im so happy I did. It was incredible from A to Z. All facilities were super high level, comfy beds, explenations about all the facilities(manuals for things like starting a bonfire or a bbq) help with anything we needed - and a top level luxury camping experience. Worth every penny and an experience we will not forget - even though it was raining for the entire stay we still had a blast. Highly recommended

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Ties Camp Ground Nagiso—truly one of the highlights of our trip and the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking the Nakasendo Trail. What stood out most was the exceptional customer service. We had made a small request ahead of time for a wine bottle opener, and not only did they accommodate it—they thoughtfully included it in our welcome pack. That level of attention to detail really set the tone for our stay. Later, when we were unsure if our taxi driver understood our request to return the next morning (due to the language barrier), our host went above and beyond by calling the taxi company to confirm everything for us. You really can’t ask for better or more thoughtful service. The facilities were spotless—everything from the kitchen to the bathrooms and showers was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The tents themselves were extremely comfortable, with cozy beds and all the amenities we could possibly need, including heaters, outdoor blankets, WiFi, and power outlets. They even provided wood for our campfire and lanterns to use when walking around the property at night, which made the whole experience feel both easy and special. One of our favorite features was the outdoor footbath just off the patio—such a relaxing treat, especially with the beautiful views of the valley. It was the perfect way to unwind in the evening. The food was another standout. We pre-ordered both the chicken hot pot and the pork shabu shabu, and both were delicious, generous, and so much fun to prepare. Everything came beautifully organized in trays and bowls, with every condiment you could want. Breakfast was just as great—eggs, cheese, ham, bread, and more, all ready for us to cook on the gas stove they provided. This place is truly something special—comfortable, unique, and incredibly enjoyable in every way. We would highly, highly recommend Ties Camp Ground Nagiso to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the area.

Note that you wash your own dishes, but the kitchen has a large sink that was dedicated to just our tent and was stocked with everything you need to clean them. Not a drawback for us, we were happy to do wash them given the meticulous attention the staff gave to set up our dinner and breakfast so we could do everything ourselves.

Amazing getaway in the middle of mountains and far from the big cities. The tents are very big and comfortable. The beds are great. What we loved the most was the attention to details with all the amenities provided. Bathrooms were clean and showers hot with great pressure. The food we ordered was plenty and delicious. The foot onsen was the cherry on the cake. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We ordered a taxi from the camp to Magome (7,000 yen) to get to the walk back to Nagiso station (10km, 4-5 hours) which we really enjoyed. Highly recommended.

The only struggle we had was dealing with the various shoes: outdoor, indoor, bathroom but we guess it adds to the experience. 😃

Facilities are all inclusive - they have everything you could need and more! Beautiful property and fantastic sized glamping tents (3-4 pax). There was a hibatchi grill to use and drinks for a small cost. It is also along the Nakasendo trail which was perfect for the middle of our hike. The main building is 90+ years old and in fantastic condition. Can’t wait to stay again.
