They really have thought of everything! The beds were comfortable, and the shared facilities were organized and extensive. The cooking tools were abundant, and the views wonderful. The footpath was a nice surprise! It was right on the Nakasendo route, so that was very convenient for us.

It’s peaceful, cozy, I like the ambience and it’s along the Nakasendo Trail. The staff were amazing super friendly and helpful.

Tent was warm and cosy but the interior could perhaps be a bit more inspiring but I am sure seasoned travels wouldn’t have fussed over it

Very peaceful location with beautiful views. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. The foot bath was amazing after a long day hiking. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the heaters in the tents were warm.

Only toilet was in the main house so it was a little inconvenient at night. The food was ok but we were three people and only given enough food for two people which was not enough food especially after hiking on the nakasendo trail all day. There are no stores or restaurants nearby and you have to walk 45 minutes uphill from the nearest store with groceries if there is no taxi and you don’t have a car. We couldn’t get a taxi from the train station because they were all booked.
