Everything! It had every amenity you need. 30 minute walk into town, right along the Nakasendo trail. It was peaceful and calming. It was nice to be surrounded by nature and get away from the busy cities of Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. Far away from city lights that you could see all the stars in the milky way. Hosts were attentive and made sure you had everything you need. The food service was fantastic. They even had a foot spa to soak your feet after a long hike.

Nothing. Everything was amazing.

"Good for Nakasendo trail hikers!"

Very beautiful, cosy, delicious dinner, hot foot bath was a huge bonus! And right on the Nakasendo trail!

Not being able to turn the shower up to full due to small drain. Kerosene lamp as heater generated a bit too strong of an odour due to leakage.

"Wonderful"

One of my highlights in Japan, Got woken up by the monkeys having fruit off of the trees, was so epic! They also have food and drink options there that you can take advantage of, you don’t need to bring all your own stuff
