"Did not stay as did not get what I paid for"

1.0

Nothing

Apparently booked a holiday home which would have a hot tub as it stated on booking.com but once the property confirmed the stay it was a beat up hut with no hot tub, very misleading, and when tried to contact and cancel and get a refund no answer on the phone or messages, even booking.com could not get hold of them. Customer service is 💩

The hot tub was lovely The place of the lodge in the woods was close to animals which was nice apart from the rooster waking us at just gone 4am hehe . The bed was really comfy especially given the fact I have a fractured spine and pelvis as well! The curtains were lovely throughout The hot tub room has a great size TV and the decor is pretty

On arrival there was bird plop on the bed within the hotub room, alongside a leak from the ceiling dripping onto the bed (we called staff straight away to report all faults to make sure that we wasn't held responsible for them) The man who came out didn't fix it because he said the weather wouldn't affect it 🙄. I am immunocompromised so i didnt appreciate this, but i didn't challenge it further than stating that it was due to be 100percent rain the following day of our stay, he just shrugged it off by saying the weather is never guaranteed. The bed room lamp shade was balanced on, (broken on arrival) and on sitting on the sofa i realised the zip end of the main bk cushion was up the wrong way around so i gave it a tidy and turned it up right & there revealed was a huge slashed rip on the seam (again staff wasn't phased on reporting) he stated I wouldn't be charged as there was a full inventory on the property which boggled me but I didn't mind as I dont own it. But still... we paid £469 for x2 nights and the 'lodge' was more like a chalet. It does need a massive refurb in the chalet. And the additional area with the hot tub in had windows made out of branches which is a cute idea but not so clever when we had a bird flying in while in the tub and it was having plops. Lastly the cleanliness of the bathroom was a lot to be desired with dirt so grounded into the lino corners that not even a bleech mop would bring that up. Plus behind the hot tub there was a can and bottle tops from people who had stayed previously I would highly recommend upgrading as pretty as it appears on the site - this I felt was over priced unless you appreciate the above as free additional perks haha.
