The peacocks,the handyman. The beds and sofa were comfy.

Right off the bat it was poor. Property was half cleaned at best. Someone had left some UHT milk in the fridge,unknown if this was some sort of "welcome gift". Dishwasher was full. Table was dirty. Only 1 washing machine tablet,dishwasher tablet and bin bag for a whole week for a family of 4. Shampoo,conditioner,body wash and soap were all half full and watered down. Heating went off the first night we were here. Out of the 7 nights we spent here we only had hot water and heating for 2 of them. Internet went off on Thursday. Tv didn't work half the time and we had to replace the batteries in the remote. Couldn't get hold of staff for love nor money. Out of the 4 phones calls we made,one was picked up and then hung up,one finally picked up the rest were left ringing or went straight to voicemail. Had to buy more toilet roll,washing machine and dishwasher tablets as we couldn't get hold of anyone to get any more. If your really unlucky yourl get to hear everything the people above you are saying as the walls are as thin as paper. Parking is limited. Toilet downstairs was filling up all night,couldn't get it to stop. Heating when works is so noisy its unreal. Not sure if the bath has ever been cleaned. Went to use it the first night and black flakey grim came out the sides. Shower in bathroom decided to just stop working. Shower downstairs leaks in the gap in the door and runs down the bit between shower and wood. Also leaks onto the floor. Maybe this is just an us thing,but every other property we have stayed at we have been greeted by someone even if just to say hello. We didn't see anyone. Managed to get a guy to look at the heating one night who switched it on and off again,it didn't work and we didn't bother asking again. The laundry company dump all the towels in the clock tower walk way,just looks a state. Also couldn't get hold of anyone to get any clean towels.

Amazing location and a fantastic host

Stayed in the largest room. The heating was not great as it worked in some rooms but not in others. Not enough hot water to use the hot tub more than once a day which also suffered if everyone showered. Probably just need to set it up correctly. The kitchen was a bit worn and tired with a door hanging from hinges. Upstairs the bathrooms were also tired and really needed tidying up. Hopefully this can all be resolved as this is an amazing old coach house.

The cottage was cold the small electric fire didn’t help much.

No heating and hot water. Staff were lying to us and telling us different things about how quickly it will be fixed. We ended up leaving early because we needed a shower after almost two days! Asked for a refund but had to chase three times and still nothing. Still chasing them while they keep saying that my request will be processed. Rude staff, terrible experience and might not get our money back.

Beautiful location

No forks, 1 bowl, pillow cases missing, dog hairs on plates in cupboard, not cleaned, shower didn't work, false advertised shop on site, no jacuzzi bath, 1x toilet roll, no bin bags, bins full of rubbish on arrival, key not in safe on arrival I raised issue about cleaning and was informed cleaner had to leave due to family emergency which we were compassionate too, but it wasn't a daily clean the apartment hadn't been deep cleaned for numerous months..please check under the beds etc Dissapointed does not cover how we feel, especially at the cost we paid per night The decor etc was lovely but not maintained I have not added pictures as not here to cause any issues but do have to leave an honest review, I have travelled and stayed in many places, and unfortunately, this is the first place I would not recommend

Great property, high spec, nice location.

I would have like to know the pet surcharge cost before booking and a warning that using the jacuzzi uses up all the hot water for a number of hours.

We visited the stables and stayed in the Woodcutters cottage, this was our first time staying and we absolutely loved it. It is set in a peaceful, tranquil and private area perfect for a relaxing getaway, nature and nice walks. We booked last minute for Easter Sunday and were lucky enough to have lovely weather. I was a little worried following some reviews on the heating but the cottage was cosy and comfortable on arrival. The whole cottage is lovely, spacious and homely. The beds and sheets are great quality and offered a wonderful night's sleep.

It wouldn't put us off coming back but I did query before arrival about dog charges as this wasn't stated clearly and was an additional charge of £35 whilst I fully understand why properties do this it wasn't clearly stated it is a little steep. The dining table was a little unsteady could have been a bit better. It would be great to have the option of a late check out (even with charge) as 10am is quite early (we quite often travel and pay for this)

Spacious. Nice bathrooms. Had everything we needed. Beautiful setting. Very comfortable.

TV was too high on the wall for the position of the sofas. Floor was dirty in places.
